Interim from sunny Thruxton. Ian Hall converted pole into a win and set the first sub-1 minute 20 second race lap for our cars. Paul Sibley pressed him hard until going off on his own oil leaving Ian Stapleton to take a lonely 2nd which puts him on pole for race 2 tomorrow due to the winners penalty rule. Best dice was the one for 4th ( which became 3rd ) between Steven Moss,Thomas Carey and Dan Minton , which went the way of Carey after the Moss Anglia had an off at Church. David Beatty won class A for the first time in the Prelude and Joe Ward took it steady in BB to come in 10th and will be present for tomorrow he says. Two cars tangled though, the Ellis Mazda and Crabtree Escort with the Mazda damaging a panhard rod and destroying both left hand wheels. Its hoped the latter though will make it out for tomorrows races at 12 oclock and 3 oclock.
