The CSCC Special Saloons + Modsports series
Classic Sports Car Club :
the series organisers
In 2012 the Classic Sports Car Club launched it`s Special Saloons race series. In so doing it revived a whole genre of modified club racing that was once common in the UK but had been missing for too long. The cars involved were those from different strains of modified racing...70`s Super Saloons ( such as the iconic `Baby Bertha` Firenza , 80`s/90`s Thundersaloons , Modsports , Special GTs and a variety of other fascinating machinery. Most of the cars are unique and some havn`t been seen racing for decades so the series is a kind of timewarp for enthusiasts.

'a joy for anybody with fond memories of the heyday of club racing's special saloons and modsport categories from the mid-1960's to late-80's'
- Marcus Pye
' We have previously turned away otherwise correct cars such as Mini’s and Imps running bike engines and Escort mk1s and 2s with Millington, Duratec and Honda S2000 engines alike, these can now be welcomed'
